No longer funded by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Blind and Visual Services, RIS now depends on funds from a diverse array of individuals and institutions.
RIS has received grants for such purposes as purchasing receivers and other equipment, underwriting programs, doing outreach, and funding general operations. We thank our 2005-2006 funders for their generosity.

RIS participates in and sponsors various events to publicize our work and to raise funds.
A very small portion of our revenue comes from listener fees. Listeners are asked to pay only $40.00 per year for our service, and no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
